The Dencom Address Book is an
application that integrates into Outlook to show a common set of
contact data, that is available to all users.
The Dencom Global Address Book
consists of 3 applications.
- An Administration Utility:
that creates and maintains the database.
Which can be installed on one or more workstations.
- The Dencom Global Address
Book Client: which is an Extended MAPI interface which integrates
into Outlook. So this provides you a new Address Book within
Outlook.
Note. The Client can be configured in two modes
1.
Full access to the data, which has the ability to
add, change and delete records
2. View Only access, they can still send emails etc, but
only view the contact details.
This is not only just an Address
Book, but provides a full Extended MAPI compliant Address Book.
This
means that you can access the data from any Extended MAPI
Enabled application.
i.e. Microsoft Word and Microsoft Access etc

Client:
this is an Outlook Addin
which you can synchronize the Database content with a
Microsoft
Outlook Contacts folder. There are several
synchronization options available.
1. Import from the Database to Contacts folder only
2. Merge the Database to Contacts and Contacts to
Database
3. Import and Merge by selected Categories.
Great for Remote users.
(Note: Exchange Server is NOT
required)
