Quick
Installation Guide:
1. Download
the latest version from our Web Site.

2. Run the
Installer on the P.C that will the Administrator will be using.
Note you can have any number of Administrators. You may want to
install the Client software at the same time.
3. Start the
Administration Program, an icon will be installed under Start
then All Programs then Dencom Global Address Book.
4. Create a
new database and import your data. See
Creating a New Database
&
Importing Data
5. Run the
installer and install one or both of the client software on the
users P.C's.
6. To
Configure the Dencom Global Address Book Client
click here
7. To
Configure the
Dencom Address Book Connect
click here
8. Done.
Note: We
recommend that installing the Administrator program on the local
P.C, but when creating the database to create this to a share or mapped drive on your Server or Peer to Peer
network. As the Email Client and additional administrators will
need access to this file.
Upgrading from 3.x:
- As above but for point
4, Select Tools then Migrate a V3.x Database.

This will create a new database and import the data, the
new name for the database will have _new appended to it.
i.e. DNZGABDB.MDB will convert to DNZGABDB_NEW.MDB
- Install and
configure the new Client Software.
Notes:
- We have made
available separate installers for each of the
clients, which are available on the download page on
our Web Site.
- There is also a
utility to configure the Address Book settings in
the MAPI Profile (Dencom Global Address Book
Client only), the utility is named DNZConfig.exe and
is located in the directory where the Administration
Utility is installed. This utility can be run within
a script or batch files to automate the client
installation.
