Once the installer has been run and the Dencom Address Book Connect has been installed.
You need to configure the Client.
1. Restart Outlook
2. Select Tools then Dencom Address Book Connect
3. Select Add to create a new profile, and give it a name
4. Select the database file that will be access.
5. Select the Outlook Contacts folder that you want synchronized.
Import / Merge Options:
Selecting the Import Option and then Synchronize now will do a one way Sync from the
Database to the Outlook Contacts Folder
Selecting the Merge Option will do a two way sync from the Database to Contacts and
Contacts to Database.
If duplicate fields are detected between the database and contacts you can set which set has
preference.
Notes: The merge, mergers records based on the last modified date, of which all fields of that
record are updated.
Category Restriction:
Enabling this will limit the Import or Merge to only synchronize records that match that
Category criteria.
Scheduler Sync:
When this is enabled, you can set how frequently you want the Dencom Address Book
Connect to run the synchronization.
You can also enable the disable prompting so it runs in the background.
Notes: The scheduler sync is only active when Outlook is running.
On large databases the sync may take several minutes.
