Configuring the Dencom Global Address Book Client
(Note before configuring the Client a database must be have been created by running the
Administration Utility, and/or creating a ??.GAB.XML file).

The Dencom Global Address Book Client now supports remote downloads of the .XML.ZIP
via a Web Server. See Remote Downloads for more information

Outlook 97/98/2000
Note: To use the new address book, you will need to close the Email client and
wait (approx. 40 seconds) for the MAPI spooler to shut down, before restarting the
Email client.

Option 2. Automate
To assist with automating the install a command line utility is now available
'DNZConfig.exe' to configure the MAPI Profile, so now you can run this from within a
login script, batch file or some other scripting program to install the Dencom Global
Address Book Client software
Sample:
DNZGAB32.MSI /q
DNZCONFIG.EXE /A /N "Dencom Global Address Book" /F "Path\export.gab.xml"
Or
DNZGAB32.MSI /q
DNZCONFIG.EXE /A /P %username% /N "Dencom Global Address Book" /F
"Path\export.gab.xml"
Or (Read Write Mode: accessing the database directly)
DNZGAB32.MSI /q
DNZCONFIG.EXE /A /N "Dencom Global Address Book" /F "Path\database-file.mdb"
Variables can also be used.
Note: DNZGAB32.MSI is a separate download which is on the download page on
our Web Site.
Additional Information:
When installing the Dencom Global Address Book client there is a Options button
(where you configure the Address Book Name and File Name) selecting this you
can enable or disable what the Address Types will be displayed in the Address
Book. So for example you can uncheck the Fax, so no Fax address type will show
in the Address Book. Note this setting is only available when the client is
configured for access the database directly.
For the clients accessing the ?.GAB.XML file, you can set this option in the
Administration Utility under Options and Miscellaneous Options. Then recreate
the .GAB.XML file.
