Creating the .GAB.XML file

Launch the Administration Utility, then under select Create Address Book File .GAB.XML, select the path and file name to be used.

If you have Clients that are accessing this file from remote sites then we recommend that you Zip the file.

The Dencom Global Address Book Client now supports remote downloads of the .XML.ZIP only via a Web Server.

Once you have created the ??.GAB.XML.ZIP file copy this file and the ??.GAB.XML.ZIP.TXT file to the location on the Web Server that have been configured to remote access.

To configure the Client:
Enter in the Web Server Address and path where the .GAB.XML.ZIP resides.
If you Web Server requires authentication enter in the User name and Password fields also.
Logging and diagnostic information is available in the dnzgab32.dll.log file located in the \Windows\system32 directory

Note:

This is the file the Dencom Global Address Book Client accesses when configured in Read Only mode. So we recommend that it is saved to a shared location on your Server.
